A man is due in court following a collision at a car meet in Leeds.

The incident took place in the Cross Green area in July and has led to charges against 20-year-old Jake Morrison, of Merlin Court, Huddersfield.

He has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, fraudulently using a registration mark/document and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance.

PC Paul McDermott of the Roads Policing Unit said: "We will continue to act on information about car meets and any illegal use of our roads across West Yorkshire, and those found to be committing offences or using vehicles in an anti-social manner will be dealt with.

"Anyone engaging in such behaviour should be aware that there have been changes to legislation which means that we can now seize vehicles under section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 without any warning."

Morrison is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on October 20.
