From giant pumpkins for carving to ghostly white gourds and wart-covered Halloween favourites, visitors to a popular County Durham pumpkin patch have been spoilt for choice this autumn.
East Grange Farm has welcomed families back for its annual pumpkin-picking event, with visitors able to choose from an impressive 37 varieties grown on the farm.
The attraction opened on October 17 and 18, with tickets selling out in advance as pumpkin picking grows in popularity before Halloween.
Following the successful opening weekend, the farm is now preparing to welcome more visitors during the October half-term break, when it will be open from October 23 to October 27.
After receiving plenty of questions from visitors about the pumpkins on offer, East Grange shared a video showcasing some of the unusual varieties growing in its fields this year.
Among the stand-out pumpkins are the striking Polar Bear, the colourful Turks Turban, the blue-grey Crown Prince and Queensland Blue varieties, and the eye-catching Goosebumps and Warty Goblin pumpkins, whose bumpy skins make them perfect for the Halloween season.
Visitors looking for traditional carving pumpkins will also find plenty of options, alongside miniature varieties and pumpkins in a range of colours, shapes and sizes.
But the attraction offers more than just pumpkins.
Families visiting the farm can also enjoy hot food and warming drinks, fresh doughnuts and sweet treats, fairground rides, face painting and caricatures.
Birds of prey are also due to make appearances, weather permitting.
Entry costs £5 per car, which is redeemable against pumpkin purchases, while all visits must be booked in advance online.
For pumpkin enthusiasts, however, it is the sheer variety on offer that sets East Grange apart.
