Food lovers are being encouraged to get a taste of everything Darlington has to offer as the town's popular Restaurant Week returns later this week.
The week-long celebration of Darlington's food and drink scene will run from Friday, October 23 to Friday, October 30, with restaurants, pubs, cafés and hotels across the borough offering special menus and exclusive dining deals.
Organisers say the event gives people the opportunity to "explore Darlington through your tastebuds".
More than 20 venues have already signed up to take part, showcasing the variety of dining experiences available across the town.
Participating businesses include Babul's, Al Forno, Nagomi, Meet & Marrow, Saltfish at Houndgate Townhouse, Tre Amici, The Loft Steakhouse & Grill and Taipan Asia.
The event is organised through Enjoy Darlington and Darlington Borough Council, and has become a regular fixture in the town's calendar, helping to shine a spotlight on local hospitality businesses.
Venues on Darlington’s outskirts are also taking part, including Baydale Beck, Blackwell Grange Hotel, Fox and Hounds in Neasham, The Bridge Inn Stapleton and Walworth Castle.

There will also be opportunities to sample everything from Italian favourites and South Asian cuisine to steaks, pub classics, cocktails and desserts, reflecting the growing diversity of Darlington's food scene.
Participating venues are publishing dedicated Restaurant Week menus, allowing diners to enjoy specially selected dishes and offers throughout the week.
