A POLICE investigation is underway following reports of alleged cyberflashing by a Yorkshire mayor.
It comes after reports by The Observer claimed that Reform UK Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire, Luke Campbell, is alleged to have shown a senior female officer “four fully naked and sexualised images” of himself.
Both Reform UK and the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority said that the mayor, who took office in May 2025, firmly denies the allegations.
A spokesperson for the Combined Authority said: “We recognise the seriousness of the matters reported and understand the concern they have caused among our staff, partners and the wider public.
“The Combined Authority has established procedures for handling complaints about members and officers, which must be conducted fairly and independently.
“With a police investigation ongoing, it would not be appropriate to comment further on individual allegations or speculate about the outcome.
"The mayor firmly denies the allegations.”
As reported in The Observer, the alleged victim of the incident claimed she was “forced out of her job” in May.
According to documents seen by the national news outlet, written evidence said the mayor had called the woman over to his desk inside an office in central Hull, where she had “showed her images on his computer”.
A Reform UK spokesperson said: "Luke firmly denies the allegations.
“They come from a disgruntled employee attempting to leverage a settlement in a meritless workplace dispute."
The Observer said the woman was left feeling “shocked, embarrassed and humiliated” by the alleged incident.
A spokesperson for the Combined Authority said: “Our work continues, as does our commitment to supporting our colleagues and working with partners across Hull and East Yorkshire.
“We have important responsibilities to the residents and businesses of our region and remain focused on delivering them."
The Press has brought these claims to Humberside Police and are waiting for the force’s response.
