Business leaders and professionals from across York are being invited to come together for the next York Press Business Networking Event, taking place at York St John University on Tuesday October 27.
Organised by The York Press, the event is being held in partnership with York St John University and York College, bringing together three organisations with strong links to the city’s business community.
The evening will feature guest speakers Helen Burke and Will Robertson of Stonegate Medical, followed by an opportunity for guests to meet, make new connections and continue conversations over drinks and canapés.
Helen Burke brings considerable experience in organisational and people development. An Organisational Development Practitioner and owner of HMB Associates, Helen has more than 17 years’ experience in organisational, culture and leadership development.

Her work focuses on helping businesses get the best from their people, including developing high-performing teams, strengthening leadership and management skills, supporting culture change and improving wellbeing. She is also a member of the CIPD, a Certified Management Consultant and an approved Investors in People specialist.
Registration opens at 5.30pm, with the free event beginning at 6pm and finishing at 7.30pm.Ut takes place in the Business School at York St John University and is free to attend.
The event forms part of the ongoing partnership between The York Press and York St John University, which includes a programme of business networking events hosted by the University and organised by The Press.
For York’s business community, the event provides an informal opportunity to step away from the day-to-day demands of work, hear from two guest speakers and make valuable new connections with other people doing business in and around the city.
Following the speaker presentations, guests will be able to continue networking over complimentary drinks and canapés, creating plenty of opportunity to introduce themselves, exchange ideas and build relationships.
