A new era of HMV is here – as it prepares to reopen in York this week.
HMV York is set to reopen on Coney Street with a fresh new look on Thursday 22 October.
As previously reported, the first 25 customers to make a purchase will receive an exclusive ‘swag bag’ packed with ‘must-have items’.
The HMV Shop in York will house over 32,000 different products, including 5,500 vinyl albums, 13,000 CDs, 7,500 films and TV shows, 4,000 pop culture collectibles, and over 250 different T shirt designs including music and film favourites.
It will also stock a wide range of books including fiction, graphic novels, music biographies, Young Adult and Manga titles, as well as the retailer’s popular 2 for £9 book offer.
Phil Halliday, managing director at HMV and Fopp said: “The reimagined York shop looks brilliant. The team has poured so much effort into this over the past few weeks, and it shows. With more than 32,000 products on offer, the location is primed to become the premier pop culture hub in the city.
