A North East scare park has been named one of the UK’s top ten Halloween experiences.
Redcar’s Scream Factory ranked tenth in a national list by seobacklinks.com covering scream parks, ghost walks, scare mazes and dungeon attractions, making it the North East’s highest-rated venue.
Scream Factory has been frightening visitors in Kirkleatham since 2012, when the Tate family and their company Imaginative Productions launched the family-run attraction.
Its latest event features new scare zones, immersive sets and more than 100 live actors.

Oliver Weston, founder of seobacklinks.com, said: "Halloween's the one time of year when people will happily pay to be frightened, and for a family it soon adds up once you've bought tickets, travel and food.
"Whatever you're booking this year, have a read of the latest reviews first, because they'll tell you how this season's actually going."
Scream Factory averaged 4.5 stars from 167 Google reviews, including 129 five-star ratings.
One reviewer wrote: "Such a fun experience, a staple to the North East in October."

It is not the first time Scream Factory has received national recognition, with the Redcar attraction previously named the best scare event in the country in a separate 2024 study.
That ranking, produced by Spin Genie UK, looked at factors including ticket prices, social media interest and online searches, with Scream Factory coming out on top with a score of 7.71 out of 10.
The Redcar scream park ranked tenth overall, while venues in Leeds, Wakefield and York took the top three places.
