A floating hotel in Leith has been crowned as Europe's leading boutique hotel at this year’s World Travel Awards.
The Fingal Hotel, which was also named as Scotland's leading boutique hotel, is managed by the The Royal Yacht Britannia Trust, which also operates the eponymous attraction docked next door.
Prior to its transformation into a five-star hotel in 2019, the Fingal served remote island communities as a Northern Lighthouse Board vessel.
Visitors to the Fingal have the choice of 23 nautical-themed cabins, including the Skerryvore Suite with a private deck.
The hotel also boasts a ballroom and an award-winning restaurant on-board.

Commenting on the awards, which have been described as the “Oscars of the travel industry”, Royal Yacht Britannia Trust chief executive Franck Bruyere said the accolades were “an incredible honour.”
“These awards mean so much because they are voted for by our guests and industry peers,” Mr Bruyere said.
“Since opening, our ambition has been simple: to deliver world-class hospitality with warmth, personality and a genuine Scottish welcome. This achievement reflects the passion and dedication of every member of the Fingal crew.
"We're particularly proud that this success shines a light on Leith.”

The historically-industrial district has been reinvigorated in recent years, boasting an impressive range of restaurants and bars along The Shore and nearby Ocean Terminal.
“In recent years, the area has established itself as one of Scotland's most vibrant visitor destinations, celebrated for its waterfront setting, heritage, restaurants, independent businesses and warm hospitality,” Mr Bruyere remarked.
“When visitors choose Fingal, they're not just choosing a hotel, they're discovering everything Leith and Edinburgh's waterfront have to offer."
The Johnnie Walker Experience on Princes Street was also honoured at the awards, being named as Europe's Leading Spirit Tourism Experience for the fourth consecutive year.
Fingal has also been nominated as the leading boutique hotel in the world.
