A leading pub company has announced plans to 'transform' a Rutherglen bar ahead of its reopening later this year.
Punch Pubs & Co has this month added to its growing portfolio in Scotland with the acquisition of the Vogue Bar on the South Lanarkshire town's Main Street.
The venue will now undergo a refurbishment before reopening at the end of November. The investment will create a "fresh, modern environment" designed to strengthen its position at the heart of the local community.
This follows Punch Pubs & Co's acquisition of the James Tassie in Glasgow's Southside in September this year.
Punch Pubs & Co acquisitions manager, Craig Buchanan, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Punch, and I’m delighted to welcome Vogue Bar into our Punch family, joining the James Tassie, which we acquired last month.
"As always, it remains our priority to ensure the pubs continue to thrive at the heart of their communities.”
