A popular community arts exhibition is set to return to York this Halloween, promising its "biggest and most creative" event yet.

Now in its third year, the Arts, Craft and Photography Exhibition will be held at Foxwood Community Centre on Saturday, October 31, from 10.30am to 3pm.

Organised by the Foxwood Residents Association, the event will feature more than 60 entries from artists, photographers, and makers of all ages and abilities.

Neil Butterworth, organiser, said: "The event last year was a tremendous success, attracting several hundred visitors throughout the day, and we're hoping to build on that success this year.

"The quality and number of entries we've received demonstrate the incredible artistic talent that exists within our local community.

"It's particularly encouraging to see contributions from people of all ages, from first-time exhibitors to experienced artists and photographers."

As well as the main exhibition, visitors can support two charity displays.

Pink for Margaret, created by the Foxycrafters, will raise funds for York Against Cancer.

Silver Crafters, a collection of handmade items, will be sold in aid of St Leonard's Hospice.

A small number of exhibit spaces remain available.

Anyone interested in taking part is encouraged to contact the organisers as soon as possible.
