TEN DRIVERS have received traffic offence reports after parking on zig-zag markings.
Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team issued the reports during foot patrols in Keighley town centre.
Officers focused on vehicles stopping or parking at the bottom of Cavendish Street.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "As part of our patrols, we have been paying particular attention to cars stopping or parking on the zig-zag markings at the bottom of Cavendish Street."
"In the space of only two shifts, this has resulted in ten drivers being issued with traffic offence reports.
"Many of the drivers seemed to think they had a justified reason for for their illegal actions, such as 'I'm just waiting for a mate', 'I've just finished work', or telling us 'That area was too full' whilst pointing at the double yellow lines."
