A popular fish and chips shop turning over just £1,500 a week is up for sale.
Upper Town Fish and Chips in Oxenhope is on the market for £29,950 and is currently on a part-time schedule of just 13 hours.
Why is it up for sale?
Elaine Heaton, who runs the business with other staff members, said: "The owner has other fish and chip shops in Haworth.
"We are entirely staff-run.
"However, I'm in my sixties now, and getting to the point where I can't run it like I could.
"So the owner has come to the decision to put it on the market."
The business, listed by Ernest Wilson Business Agents, is fully staff-run.
Current opening hours are limited to Saturdays, 11.30am to 2pm, Mondays, 5pm to 7pm, Thursdays, 4.45pm to 7.30pm, and Fridays, 11.30am to 2pm and 4.45pm to 8pm.
'An exceptional opportunity'
The Rightmove listing reads: "An exceptional opportunity to acquire a prominently positioned fish and chip takeaway at the heart of the highly desirable village on the outskirts of Keighley.
"Significant scope exists for an ambitious new owner to increase revenue by extending opening hours and introducing complementary food offerings, such as pizzas or other takeaway cuisines, to meet local demand.
"Potential also to introduce a delivery service in-house or via third party delivery portals (Just Eat, Uber Eats for example).
The listing continues: "The current owner operates another business elsewhere, with this site therefore being fully staff-run.
"As such, the business presents an ideal opportunity for a hands-on owner-operator to realise its full potential and drive future growth."
Where is the chippy?
The shop is located on a main road near the village cricket club and offers convenient roadside parking.
The premises include a sales area with a customer waiting space and takeaway counter, a preparation room with catering equipment, a storeroom, and toilets.
There is also outdoor seating with a picnic table.
The business is being sold as a leasehold.
