A kitten was found dumped in a bin bag inside a wheelie bin.
The six-month-old cat, described by the RSPCA as "sweet loving soul," was discovered in a soft carrier inside the bag outside a home on Colenso Grove in Leeds on Thursday, October 15.
The kitten was found by a resident who had just moved into the nearby property that day.
Hannah Westen, an RSPCA animal rescue officer, said: "This poor kitten was dumped in a bin like rubbish.
"She must have been terrified.
"She is such a sweet, loving soul, it beggars belief that someone would do such a thing.
"We are asking anyone who saw something suspicious to get in touch – even minor details could be important.
"If you saw someone with a cat carrier or bin bag, or saw something suspicious, please do contact us."

No CCTV has been found to help identify how the kitten ended up in the bin.
The kitten, now named Christine, is recovering in private boarding.
She was dehydrated and suffering from urine scalding, indicating she had been kept in poor conditions, but is otherwise healthy.
