A VIBRANT celebration of Black arts and culture is set to take place in the city.

BRAVE Presents, a one-day festival featuring music, dance, rap, drumming, storytelling, and spoken word, will be held at Bradford Arts Centre on Saturday, October 17.

The event is part of Black History Month and aims to highlight positive contributions in Black culture.

Tricia Arthur Stubbs, festival director, said: "BRAVE is a positive voice for the things Black people have done.

"It celebrates the art forms, ideas and creativity that Black people have given to the world."

The afternoon programme runs from 3pm to 6pm and includes interactive sessions in Jamaican Dancehall, Gambian dance, rap, Nigerian head wrapping, and more.

Evening performances will follow from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

BRAVE Presents is a condensed version of the larger BRAVE Festival, which will return in 2027.

Tickets can be booked HERE, or by contacting Bradford Arts Centre’s box office on 01274 303340.
