For many people, a trip to the salon is about far more than a haircut, manicure or beauty treatment.
That is certainly the case at Blush 22 Hair & Beauty Lounge in Idle, where owner Lauren Fearnley says creating a welcoming environment has become just as important as the services on offer.
Located on High Street, the salon has built a loyal client base who return not only for the treatments, but for the atmosphere created by the team.
'It's like therapy, but you get a pamper as well'
Ms Fearnley said one of the most rewarding aspects of running the business is hearing the feedback from customers.
"We get a lot of compliments from clients when they come in," she said.
"They'll say, 'I just love coming here. It's like therapy, but you get a pamper as well'."

The salon offers a wide range of hair and beauty treatments and currently employs 11 members of staff.
According to Ms Fearnley, helping clients leave feeling happier and more confident is at the heart of everything the team does.
She said: "We want people to leave feeling good about their nails or whatever treatment they're having done, but also feeling better about themselves and their day,"
A close-knit team behind the success
Ms Fearnley believes the salon's welcoming atmosphere stems from the people who work there.
She said: "A lot of the girls who work with us have been here for three or four years now,"
Ms Fearnley added: "We don't have a quick turnover of staff. We try and retain everyone, and we're all good friends in work and outside of work."

Going the extra mile
The salon has also become known for the little touches designed to make appointments feel special.
From complimentary drinks to sweet treats, Ms Fearnley said the team is always looking for ways to elevate the customer experience.
"We've got a really elaborate drinks menu and sometimes we give out brownies and cupcakes to make it that little bit extra special," she said.
"We've always got candles on, the lights are dimmed, and we're always changing the décor. We probably just go that extra mile."
'It makes you realise you're doing something right'
As competition in the beauty industry continues to grow, Ms Fearnley said positive customer feedback means a great deal to the team.
She said: "It makes you realise you're doing something right because there are a lot of salons out there. It makes you feel really, really good."
