A brunch spot in Durham has been praised for its “friendly and helpful” staff and “stunning” views.

The café can be found right next to the Framwellgate Bridge and overlooks the River Wear.

On the breakfast menu, the restaurant offers a huge range of dishes from a full English breakfast to egg dishes and sourdough toast topped with different ingredients.
You can also get a breakfast stottie served with fried eggs, bacon, or sausage.

The Riverview Kitchen also offers a whole pancake menu where you can choose from classic toppings such as bacon and maple syrup and fresh strawberries and Nutella as well as the special banoffee pancakes and Eton mess pancakes.
There is also a lunch menu offering things like the popular Philly cheese steak sandwich, burgers, wraps, and freshly made salads.
The café has both indoor seating that looks over the river as well as outdoor tables if you are lucky with the weather during your visit.
