A CAR has been seized by police after being found lacking an MOT and insurance after being stopped for faulty lights in North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Police officers from Scarborough stopped a Hyundai in Dean Road on Wednesday (October 14), after noticing several lights were not working.
A force spokesperson said: "It was found not to have a valid MOT.
"A subsequent check also revealed a lack of insurance for the driver.
"The vehicle was seized and the driver reported for the offences."
Police are using the incident as a reminder to check vehicles for working lights and valid documents, especially as evenings get darker as the clocks go back this month.
