A PERSISTENT offender from North Yorkshire has been jailed for repeatedly breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.
David Fraser Flinton, 45, of Spreight Lane Steps in Scarborough, admitted five breaches of the order and one offence of trespassing on a railway, appearing before Scarborough Magistrates' Court on Monday (October 12).
He was handed the initial order on December 9, 2025, and was restricted from being in possession of an open container of alcohol or consuming alcohol in public, in a defined area of Scarborough.
North Yorkshire Police said: "As Flinton was sentenced, the court noted a flagrant disregard for court orders, adding that there was no real prospect of rehabilitation as there was a wilful refusal to comply with orders."
Flinton was sentenced to 12 months in prison and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £187.
