A police chase involving a suspected stolen Range Rover ended with four arrests.

The pursuit began on Friday morning when roads policing officers spotted the vehicle, believed to have been taken during a burglary outside West Yorkshire.

Police say the vehicle failed to stop.

As the vehicle approached junction 25 of the M62, it prepared to enter the roundabout in the wrong direction and officers were concerned that the driver was prepared to enter the motorway in the wrong direction.

Therefore they made a tactical contact to safeguard the public, the force added.

The chase ended at around 6.30am, and four men were arrested after fleeing the scene.

Following the deployment of a dog unit and drone, four men aged, 18,18,19 and 24 were arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
