Plans to open a new leisure business including padel courts have been withdrawn.
In April, a planning application to convert a warehouse in Castlefields Industrial Estate in Crossflatts into a leisure use was submitted to Bradford Council by Thomas Stell.
The plans show that a large section of the development would see the creation of gym space, while the remainder would be split into three padel courts.
Bingley Town Council had backed the plans, but highways officers at Bradford Council raised concerns about the proposals, saying a development of this size should have at least 39 parking spaces.
The plans say there would be 17 spaces, but Highways Officers said only seven of these would be acceptable to the council.
They said: “The proposal offers substandard parking arrangements and fails to meet the required parking standard.
“This would lead to vehicles overhanging the highway and an increase in on-street parking likely to affect the safe and free flow of traffic on this industrial estate.”
The planning application has now been withdrawn.
