A man who offered a woman as a prostitute to two different men has been jailed.
Bradford Crown Court heard how Samuel Csiszar took the woman’s money to buy drugs, encouraged her to take drugs with him, and made her sell personal belongings such as her mobile phone.
Prosecutor Taya Dasaolu told the court how Csiszar, 23, of no fixed abode, Bradford, made plans to leave the district with the woman and, using her benefits payments, bought a car.
But the vehicle broke down and the pair ran away from police when they arrived.
Csiszar would control who the woman visited, prevent her from seeing friends, and became angry when she spoke to other men.
On May 1 this year Csiszar, without prior discussion, took an unknown male to the woman’s home and asked her to put on a red dress.
He then left the pair together and, when he returned, told the woman that they needed to make some money and told the visitor “to do what he had paid for”.
Miss Dasaolu said: “After that incident the defendant told the victim that he would not touch or kiss her because of what she had done despite the fact that he had asked her to do it.”
On a second occasion Csiszar, the victim, and a male walked to a park where sexual activity took place.
The woman was made to masturbate the second male after which Csiszar had sex with her in front of the other man.
The second man asked for the return of £10 that he had paid, but Csiszar refused.
That incident was reported to the police, although the victim at the time did not support a prosecution.
Csiszar was arrested and bailed.
He later assaulted the victim by punching her.
When interviewed by police Csiszar denied all offences and answered “no comment” to all questions.
In a statement the victim described difficulties with sleep, anxiety, and stress but since Csiszar had been remanded in custody, she had begun seeing friends again.
Csiszar later pleaded guilty to causing/inciting prostitution for gain, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault by beating.
The court heard that he had four previous convictions for seven offences including for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Mitigating, Catherine Silverton said Csiszar, who appeared in court via video link from HMP Leeds, denied the offending and said the pair had been “working as a team”.
Sentencing Csiszar, Mr Recorder Patrick Palmer described his victim as “vulnerable” and said: “You have admitted causing or inciting prostitution for gain and that you caused this girl to become a prostitute with the expectation of gain for yourself.”
He added: “You must understand that these are serious offences. They are aggravated by your previous convictions.”
Recorder Palmer observed that a report advised Csiszar’s risk to the public was “presently unmanageable”.
He handed Csiszar 22 months’ imprisonment and made him subject to a five-year restraining order.
