Leeds Christmas Market - 2 new bars this year, all you need to know about them

Two new festive bars are arriving in Leeds this winter, promising seasonal drinks and cosy winter charm.

THOR’s Highland Lodge and Folie Ski Bar will open at the Leeds Christmas Market from November 19 to December 23, offering visitors a Scottish retreat and an alpine-style escape inspired by après-ski culture.

Amanda Monaghan, director of THOR’s, said: "We’re excited to bring two new bar experiences to Leeds Christmas market this year.

"Having hosted THOR’s tipi in the city for many years, we’ve had plenty of practice creating festive spaces and entertainment, so we know what customers love.

"We’ve listened to lots of feedback on what people would like to see at the market and we want to make sure we give visitors and residents of Leeds plenty of reasons to stay with us long after they’ve finished their shopping or a day at the office."

THOR’s Highland Lodge, a tipi-style venue, will accommodate up to 280 guests inside and 100 outside.

It will feature Scottish drinks, roaring fires, tartan decor, and live entertainment.

Folie Ski Bar, located on Quebec Street, will seat 180 guests indoors and 50 outside.

The alpine-themed venue will serve mulled wine, Kirkstall Brewery beers, and other seasonal drinks in a rustic chalet setting.
