A County Durham farm is turning its maize maze into a terrifying Halloween night out.
Thorpe Farm Centre at Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle, is bringing back its Scare Nights for a fourth year, turning the maze into a moonlit trail of terror.
The event runs for three nights, from Thursday, October 29, to Saturday, October 31, with visitors promised a "spine-chilling experience".
Harvey Barkes of Thorpe Farm Centre said: "Each year we redesign our scare nights to make them, above anything, even scarier.

"We don’t want to give anything away, but expect to be chased and jumped out on by any number of characters and creatures.
"You’re following a path, often in near pitch black, so you won’t know what’s waiting for you around the next corner."
Last year’s Scare Nights were described as intensely unnerving in a review.
The review said: "The natural darkness added an air of creepiness; it made you uneasy at every shadow and sound.
"The scares came out of nowhere and really hit you each and every time."
Scare Nights run from 7pm to 9pm, with staggered entry times for each group.
The site will also have a street food vendor, a bar, seating areas and fire pits.
