American influencer's Leeds United fans plea to 'adopt him' after travel blunder

'Daddy Wellness' Instagrammer, Richie Lovelace, rushed to Instagram to share his dilemma

An American fitness influencer has gone viral in Leeds after filming himself begging for a local family to "adopt him" for a day, after forgetting to book a hotel.

Richie Lovelace, better known online as Daddy Wellness, took to his 2.1 million Instagram followers, explaining that he had "forgotten" to book a hotel for his travel to Leeds this upcoming weekend. His short video explained that he was looking for "die-hard" Leeds fans to house him for his travels. Speaking to his phone, Lovelace said: "I am f*****. I forgot to book a hotel in Leeds, and my train arrives tomorrow at midday.

"I was wondering if there was a die-hard Leeds family out there who would adopt me for a day - pick me up from the station, feed me a meal, and let me crash on their couch and get my Leeds tattoo that I have to live up to... maybe we will share a few songs and teach me about the club's history."

He signs off the video by asking his followers to leave a comment below or send him a DM if they live near Leeds Station.
