A NEW fast food chain is set to open in a York shopping park.
The new KFC drive-thru will open at Monks Cross Shopping Park, by the Lidl supermarket in Monks Cross Drive, on Saturday (October 17).
The much-loved brand will gift its first 200 customers with a free bucket hat.
Home deliveries from the restaurant have been scheduled between 5pm and 11.45pm each evening.
Construction on the project began early in the summer, with an application to install 27 signs featuring the KFC branding with City of York Council in late July.
It comes after plans were initially approved in 2022.
