Sharp: Technology firm launches new Leeds office with help from local firm Design Tonic
Technology firm Sharp has opened a new Leeds office, after interior design firm Design Tonic completed a major refurbishment of the city centre site.
The site, located at South Central, in Leeds, has been designed as Sharp’s new flagship headquarters, and also features an integrated technology showroom.
Speaking on the new office, Sharp UK’s chief people and transformation officer, Donna Carrick, said: “Our new headquarters represents an important investment in our people and the way we want to work as a business.

“Together, Design Tonic and our internal teams have created an environment that brings team members together, supports collaboration and gives people choice and flexibility in how and where they work.
“We’re delighted with the finished space. It gives us a headquarters that not only meets our needs now but provides an adaptable and inspiring workplace for the future.”
Alongside the main workspace, the new headquarters incorporates touchdown areas, informal meeting spaces, dedicated meeting rooms, booths and pods, breakout areas and a kitchen.
Design Tonic managed the project from initial concept through detailed design and delivery, bringing together its interior design, technical and fit-out teams to create the new workplace.

Speaking on the process of creating Sharp’s new office, Design Tonic co-founder, Amanda Cook, said: “The way people use offices has evolved significantly, so our aim was to create a workplace that gives people genuine choice.
“It needed to provide great spaces for collaboration and connection while remaining highly practical.
“The finished space brings those elements together and provides a workplace that can support the needs of Sharp’s people while providing plenty of flexibility for years to come.”
Established in 2019, Design Tonic specialises in creative interior design and project management for the hospitality, office, retail, and leisure sectors.
The company has worked on major Yorkshire developments, including two large fit outs at Leeds city centre’s major Aire Park scheme.
The firm has also set its sights on stepping into the education sector, with certification expected early next year.
In 2024, the team behind Design Tonic also launched DT Sport, its sports-specific segment.
The company has completed work for some of the country’s biggest football teams, working on the stadiums of teams including Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool FC, and Everton.
The company’s work for Everton includes a soon-to-start new restaurant in the club’s grounds.
The Leeds-based firm has also completed work for Leeds United and Leeds Rhinos, including the presidential suite, chairman suite and reception boardroom at Elland Road.
This Summer, operating in a 12-week window, the company also delivered a new 20,000sq ft temporary hospitality marquee at Elland Road, designed to serve attendees while plans for the redevelopment of the site’s West Stand progress.
