Firefighters from York were called to a residential building in Walmgate last night (Wednesday) after a fire alarm was activated.
Crews went to the incident at 9.44pm.
They found the alarm was caused by water leaking from the ceiling, which had affected the electrics in the flats.

They isolated the electrics and water in the affected areas before handing the incident over to the building’s responsible person.
