Famous York school St Peter’s has officially launched its new Junior School, welcoming children aged 3 to 11.

As well as classrooms, the Junior School includes laboratories and sporting facilities.

Phil Hardy, head of St Peter’s Junior School, said: “We want every child to arrive each morning excited about the day ahead and leave each afternoon with stories to tell, new ideas to explore and a genuine sense that they belong to something special.”

Music remains a key part of school life, supported by a longstanding partnership with York Minster.

Choristers at St Peter’s continue to receive their education while taking part in musical opportunities through the cathedral choir.
