Yorkshire Wildlife Park is set to reopen following a fatal incident involving a visitor and a tiger.
The park will reopen to visitors on Friday, including the Land of the Tiger area, following discussions with authorities.
The Doncaster park had closed after William Chapman, believed to be in his 20s, died on Saturday, after entering a tiger enclosure.
He reportedly climbed down from a walkway into the enclosure of an Amur tiger named Altai shortly after 1.30pm.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Wildlife Park said: "Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies remain with the family, friends and loved ones of William Chapman who sadly lost his life.
"We look forward to welcoming visitors back to the Park."
It said the safety of visitors, staff, and animals remains its highest priority and thanked the public for their support.
The spokesman also addressed public concern for the tiger involved.
He said: "Many, many people also contacted us about Altai, the tiger.
"We can reassure everyone that he is safe and well and will not be euthanised as a result of this incident.
"His ongoing welfare at YWP remains a priority of our experienced animal care team."
South Yorkshire Police confirmed that Mr Chapman was visiting the park alone.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family is being supported by specialist officers.
The park said it continues to cooperate fully with police and other agencies as investigations continue.
It also asked returning visitors to be mindful of staff, who have shown "tremendous professionalism and dedication during an exceptionally difficult time."
Specialist trauma support and ongoing care are being provided to employees affected by the incident.
The park said it will not make further comment while inquiries are ongoing but expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and understanding.
