Police seized 21 vehicles in Bradford after residents complained about their impact on the area.

A joint operation involving Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team and Bradford Council removed 21 vehicles from Ariba Avenue, North Wing and Wapping Road.

The operation took place on October 11 and covered areas in BD3.

What have police said?

Police said vehicles were untaxed, declared SORN or abandoned.

A spokesperson for Bradford East NPT said: "On Sunday, October 11, officers from Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team joined partners from Bradford Council to carry out an operation targeting vehicles that were untaxed, declared SORN, or abandoned across Ariba Avenue, North Wing and Wapping Road in BD3.

"As a result of the operation, 21 vehicles were removed, some of which had been left in place for several years.

"The action was taken following concerns raised by local residents to both West Yorkshire Police and Bradford Council regarding the impact these vehicles were having on the area.

"We remain committed to improving the local environment, addressing community concerns and ensuring vehicles parked on public roads comply with legal requirements.

"If you are aware of a vehicle that may be abandoned or being kept illegally on a public road, please report it to West Yorkshire Police or Bradford Council."
