A SECTION of High Street in Thornton is set to close temporarily.
The closure, from outside No.19 to No.49, is due to water works.
Bradford Council announced the closure will begin on October 19 at 8am and is expected to last until October 20 at 5pm.
However, the closure could be extended for up to 18 months if needed.
The road will be closed to all traffic except for vehicles involved in the works.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
No alternative routes for vehicles have been planned.
The closure is in line with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14.
The council issued the notice on October 8.
