A Yorkshire-based artist is hosting a charity fundraiser to support Dementia UK.

The event will take place across Lucy Pittaway's galleries in York, Richmond, Yarm, and Keswick on October 17 and 18.

Visitors will have the chance to support families affected by dementia through the purchase of artwork, with five per cent of all sales (excluding We Will Remember Them) donated to Dementia UK.

Ten per cent of sales from her specially created piece, There For Ewe, will also go to the charity.

Ms Pittaway said: "There For Ewe is all about connection, kindness and knowing that you're not alone.

"Dementia affects so many families, and myself and the team are pleased to be able to support Dementia UK's essential work."

The Charity Weekend is part of a year-long partnership between Lucy Pittaway Ltd and Dementia UK.

The artist chose the charity after seeing the impact of dementia on her own loved ones.

There For Ewe was created to raise funds and awareness for Dementia UK and is inspired by themes of connection, compassion, and togetherness.

Set in a peaceful Yorkshire landscape, the artwork features Ms Pittaway's signature sheep characters gathered under a rising sun and surrounded by colourful wildflowers.

The scene is intended to remind viewers of the strength that comes from supporting one another.

Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nursing charity that supports families through its network of Admiral Nurses.

These nurses offer practical advice, guidance, and emotional support to help families navigate the challenges of dementia.

As part of the partnership, 10 per cent of all sales of There For Ewe prints — and 10 per cent of the sale of the original 32in x 24in artwork — are being donated to the charity.

The artwork is described as embodying the care, reassurance, and support that Dementia UK provides.
