Punters are in for a hauntingly good time as Darlington's new Irish bar confirms it will open in time for Halloween.
Grace Kelly’s, which is taking over the former Number One Bar and Coffee House on Skinnergate, has announced plans to open its doors on October 30.
Named after the Hollywood film star, the bar will be inspired by the likes of other popular haunts in the North East such as The Dubliner and Katy O’Briens.
Bosses are currently carrying out a major refurbishment of the space, saying they want to “bring something fresh” to the town’s nightlife scene.
And now, new pictures have offered a glimpse inside of the revamp, where walls have been painted green and a Guinness pump has taken a prominent place along the bar.

A TikTok video, posted on Facebook by @gabsnems for the venue, teases how the bar space has been “opened up” to allow more space for dancing.

A former seating area has also been cleared for a new stage, with a “dream” beer line-up including Cruzcampo, Birra Moretti, John Smiths amongst others.
The bar closed at the end of August for the major refurb to get underway, with the new owners making a call last week for staff and local talent.

Once open, it will feature daily live music and will be open until late with DJs on weekends - with masses of draught stouts, lagers, beers, cask ales, ciders, and cocktails all on the menu.
“We really want people in Darlington and beyond to feel like they’re part of Grace Kelly’s from day one,” the team previously said.
“We’re building something we hope will become a real part of the local community - somewhere you can walk through the door as a stranger and leave as a friend.”

Number One Bar and Coffee House called last orders for the final time on August 30 after almost 10 years on Skinnergate.
The Grade II listed building, which was formerly home to Lloyds Bank, was put up for sale last October after previous owners David and Paul Pearson decided to move on.
It was confirmed in July that the building had been snapped up by new owners.
Shortly after, it was announced that the venue would be transformed into an Irish bar.
