Scottish Citylink is launching a new coach service connecting Aberdeen and Glasgow via Edinburgh Airport, Perth and Falkirk from October 24.
The M6 route will operate four return journeys a day, with the first departure at 3.30am and the last service leaving Aberdeen at 10.35pm.
Return fares between Aberdeen and Edinburgh Airport will start at £35, providing another public transport option for passengers travelling to Scotland’s busiest airport.
The service will be operated by McLean’s Coaches using 49-seat Yutong GT12 coaches, equipped with USB charging points, drop-down tables and reading lights.
The new route will improve airport connections for passengers travelling from Aberdeen, Perth and Falkirk, while also allowing onward travel to Edinburgh Airport from Inverness, Dundee, Aviemore and Pitlochry through Citylink’s wider network.
The launch follows the introduction of Citylink’s 903 service earlier this month, connecting Glasgow Airport with Edinburgh city centre via Uddingston, Blantyre, Bathgate, the Scottish Event Campus, Baillieston and Glasgow city centre.
Last year, the operator invested £2.5 million in eight new 53-seat Irizar i6S Efficient coaches for its existing AIR service between Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport.
Tickets for the new route and other Citylink services are available through the operator’s website.
