TRAIN lines have been blocked following a safety issue close to York.
TransPennine Express (TPE) says that due to a safety inspection of the track between Thirsk and York, some lines are currently blocked.
Disruption is expected until midday today (October 15) and operators have warned delays could be expected on the routes from Redcar Central towards Manchester Airport and from Newcastle towards Liverpool Lime Street
“Engineers are on site to investigate the issue,” said a spokesperson for TPE.
