Ross Anderson, sales and marketing manager at Scarborough Spa, said: "We're absolutely delighted to welcome Sir David to the Spa.

"We know audiences from Scarborough, Yorkshire and beyond will be eager to hear Sir David share the stories behind some of the nation's most-loved television moments."
Sir David’s long association with Yorkshire was honoured in 2026 when he was named an Honorary Yorkshireman by the Yorkshire Society.
The award recognised his contributions to the region through classic TV productions such as A Touch of Frost and The Darling Buds of May.
The show will revisit many of the characters that made him a household name, including Del Boy Trotter in Only Fools and Horses, Detective Inspector Jack Frost, Granville in Open All Hours, and roles in Porridge, The Darling Buds of May, and Danger Mouse.
The evening will also explore Sir David’s rise from a young electrician in North London with a passion for amateur dramatics to becoming one of Britain’s most celebrated actors and a true national treasure.
