I know of an old couple who are in their late 90s and in a care home having worked all of their lives.
They are paying around £3,000 per week for their care and have paid over £300,000 since moving there.
How disgusting is this for people who were born and have lived here all of their lives?
The husband served in the forces as a young man, protecting our nation.
Both of them paid their dues, mortgages, taxes etc only for them to end up having to sell their family home to pay this disgusting amount.
Now we see thousands of illegal immigrants arriving here who have invaded our country being given money, housed, fed and medical treatment as if they are guests.
They aren’t.
They are criminals.
But it is us those of us who have worked to keep a roof over our heads and feed our families and paid our dues who are paying for the idiots in government to waste it.
It is us who are being treated like criminals.
It is those who are supposedly in charge of protecting us who are criminals.
The old saying about putting a beggar on horseback and they will ride to the devil comes to mind.
We are certainly riding into hell and I don’t see any way back, do you?
I feel for Andy Burnham and his recent sad loss of his father, something we have all suffered or will at some point in our lives.
It seems this has made him realise just how appalling this situation is, but isn’t it sad that it has to take the passing of someone’s parent before action is seemingly going to be taken?
Many of these care homes are privately owned and make millions.
Those that don’t are simply closed and the land developed.
