The chef behind a restaurant recognised as Scotland's Best Indian Restaurant brings award-winning culinary experience to theAvonbridge Hotel, alongside an exciting new European menu
Hamilton's dining scene is set for an exciting new chapter as the Avonbridge Hotel confirms that its newly refurbished restaurant and public areas will open to the public on Thursday, 15 October 2026.
Under AMA Hotels, the landmark venue will introduce a brand-new dining experience combining Indian cuisine with European favourites, bringing two popular culinary traditions together under one roof.

Management has confirmed that the chef behind the hotel's Indian food previously helped achieve a Best Indian Restaurant in Scotland award, bringing recognised culinary experience to Hamilton. Award-winning Indian food arrives in Hamilton.
The new Indian menu will showcase aromatic spices, rich flavours and carefully prepared dishes, while the European selection will offer familiar favourites for families, couples and groups.

The dual-cuisine concept is designed to give diners more choice without compromising on quality. A Hamilton landmark transformed First opened in 1973 under the Martalo family, the Avonbridge Hotel has been a familiar destination for generations of local residents.
Its latest transformation includes refurbished restaurant and bar spaces, an updated entrance and conservatory, and contemporary interiors featuring walnut finishes, brass detailing and warm lighting.
