Strike action at at the largest grain distillery in Scotland has been suspended while mediation talks take place.
Members of Unite are in dispute with drinks giant Diageo, which has put 72 roles at its Cameronbridge distillery under review.
The company, which produces Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, J&B, Buchanan’s and Windsor whiskies, Smirnoff, Cîroc and Ketel One vodkas, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, Tanqueray and Guinness, will cut 2,000 jobs across its operations.
Strike action took place on October 12, with further walkouts planned for October 15, 19 and 22.
However, with Acas brought in for mediation talks the strike has been suspended though action short of a strike, including an overtime ban, will continue.
Unite regional officer Dougie Orchardson commented: "As a gesture of goodwill, and to facilitate talks between Unite, Diageo and Acas, we have agreed to suspend planned strike action this October."
In its latest registered accounts, Diageo Scotland recorded after tax profit of £595m for 2025, and £736m in 2024.
GMB members have also walked out in recent weeks.
