An Edinburgh jewellery store has won its second national design award of 2026, recognising its immersive interior inspired by nature and Scotland’s landscapes.
Sheila Fleet Jewellery, at 4 Hanover Street, was named Store Design of the Year at the 2026 National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) Awards, following the same success at the Retail Jeweller UK Jewellery Awards in July.

The NAJ award was presented at a ceremony at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on October 8, attended by more than 380 industry guests. The awards recognise excellence and innovation across 15 categories in the UK jewellery trade.
Judges praised the Edinburgh store’s use of sculptural forms, integrated technology and storytelling, reflecting designer Sheila Fleet’s passion for nature and the geology of Orkney and Edinburgh.
The store brings the brand’s distinctive designs to life through a contemporary retail space combining design and technology to create an immersive customer experience.
The company is now preparing to extend the concept to a new retail development in Kirkwall, Orkney, which will draw inspiration from the island’s coastline and geological features.

Founded in 1993 by Scottish designer Sheila Fleet OBE, the family-run business is known for jewellery inspired by Scotland’s landscapes, history and culture. Each piece is designed, made and finished at the company’s Orkney workshop.
Sheila Fleet Jewellery operates five retail locations across Scotland and said the double award win reflected the creativity behind its Edinburgh store and the work of its wider team.
