The pair will start out from Ripon on November 9 when they take a red sofa out of the Look North studio and attempt to push it 80 miles across Yorkshire using a specially designed trolley.

They'll visit dozens of towns and villages, including Harrogate and Knaresborough, and attempt to scale some of the region's highest peaks, including the famous Holme Moss climb.

Amy and Lindsey will also visit BBC Children in Need-funded projects to see how they are supporting children and young people in the region.

The challenge will start in Ripon on November 9 and finish in Wakefield on November 13.

Last year, Amy and Lindsey raised tens of thousands of pounds on a three-legged walk for BBC Children in Need.

Lindsey has also run several marathons in memory of her late husband, Leeds Rhinos and Great Britain rugby league legend Rob Burrow, who died in 2024, four and half years after his diagnosis of motor neurone disease.

She's expecting this to be one of her toughest challenges yet.

"We did a test push for about 500 yards and it's a lot harder than I expected,” said Lindsey.

“I think it's going to be a real challenge, to say the least.

"I like to take part in fundraising, to be able to support Children in Need with the incredible work that they do and support the charities, is just really special."

Amy Garcia said: "It's going to be a slog but It's such an incredible opportunity to meet our viewers.

"Lindsey and I are both mums and we are passionate about trying to help other children who don't get the same opportunities."

Lindsey and Amy will be walking between 12 and 20 miles per day during the challenge and will be broadcasting live for Look North along the route.
