A shopping centre in Selby has won gold in this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom Awards.
Market Cross was recognised for its vibrant displays and welcoming atmosphere after earning a Silver Gilt in 2024.
Melissa Clement, who oversees the management of Market Cross, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved a Gold Award at this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom Awards.
"The team works incredibly hard throughout the year to keep the centre looking vibrant and well maintained, so it is fantastic to see their efforts recognised."
Judges described the centre as “pleasant and inviting,” praising its colourful planters, hanging baskets, and the high standard of presentation across the centre.
They also highlighted Market Cross’ strong community links and programme of events, noting that its work with Selby Town Council is helping to encourage more visitors into the town centre.
