A site manager in East Yorkshire has won his seventh Seal of Excellence in a national housebuilding competition.

Jay Kerman, 39, who works for Barratt Homes, received the award for his work at the Mortimer Park development.

The honour is part of the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) Pride in the Job competition, which recognises site managers for their commitment to building high-quality homes.

Mr Kerman said: "I am proud to receive my seventh Seal of Excellence award.

"I have a fantastic team surrounding me and achieving this award wouldn’t have been possible without their support."

Now in his 23rd year with Barratt Homes, Mr Kerman is one of around 130 site managers nationwide to receive the award.

Daniel Smith, managing director at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, said: "We’re very proud of Jay and the team at Mortimer Park for achieving a Seal of Excellence award."
