Who will this inept Labour government target next? - Yorkshire Post Letters

From: Peter Neal, Cleethorpes.

This appalling Labour government, first under the hapless Sir Keir Starmer and now under the equally incompetent Andy Burnham, have sought to attack different sectors of society systematically as a clear indication that its policies have been ill conceived.

The immediate attack on private education under which most of the cabinet has benefitted, smacked of nauseating hypocrisy. The attack then moved to the hard working farmers and the rural communities that they serve loyally.

Next in the firing line was the hospitality sector which serves to ensure our great British pubs and restaurants are thriving and keeping many of our town centres and high streets at the forefront of our way of life.

Next in the firing line came a pernicious attack on our successful entrepreneurs who lead business acumen and make considerable contributions from their expertise by paying taxes that help the country to function effectively but sadly many of these fine businessmen are choosing to exit the UK for countries with far more generous tax regimes and reside in Monaco, Greece and Dubai.

The latest attack is on pensioners by pledging to abolish the triple lock. Pensioners have worked all their lives and now this economically ignorant administration has sought to make life after work more financially punishing. The economy will never thrive and prosper if vital parts are unfairly targeted. Who will this economically inept administration attack next?
