A former jockey has swapped horse racing for a surprising new venture.
Henry Brooke, from Tadcaster, enjoyed an 18-year career as a jump jockey, which included 588 wins.
But this all came to an end when he was forced to retire after suffering an injury in September last year.
Now aged 35, he has decided to ditch the saddle for a unexpected new business with the launch of North Yorkshire Toilets.
The company supplies luxury toilet trailers and portaloos for events across the county.
Henry, who retired due to injury, spent time considering his future while recovering from a broken leg sustained in a fall at Perth in 2025.
He said: "As I was rehabbing from a broken leg after a fall, I started to wonder if my childhood dream of being a jockey might be coming to an end."
"When I looked at all of the events happening in the region, from weddings and parties, to festivals, fetes and building sites needing temporary toilets, I realised that it was a relationship business that would really suit me."
He said: "I wanted a second career that would allow me to be outdoors, working in a place I love so much, North Yorkshire."
Now based at his farm in Middleham, the business serves events of all sizes, from weddings and festivals to construction sites.
The former jockey has invested in luxury mobile units and standard portable loos.
He said: "People have been wonderful, supporting me and the business.
"I'm working flat out to give the right mix of good prices and excellent service, and have been delighted to cover so many events in the first few months."
