A NORTH Yorkshire town is looking for a new town crier.
Malton Town Council is looking to recruit a volunteer Town Crier to represent and promote the town
The successful candidate will represent and promote the town at various events, approximately six times per year.
Malton Town Council is looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong public speaking skills, who can create and deliver proclamations to groups.
The role requires occasional weekday and weekend commitments, both day and evening.
There is some local travel involved, but travel expenses will be considered.
Although unpaid, the chosen crier will be provided with regalia.
The council is keen to hear from individuals passionate about community involvement.
Application forms can be picked up from Malton Town Council, 1 Newgate, from Monday to Thursday between 9am and 12noon.
