The Yorkshire Farming Conference will return in January 2027 following a successful debut earlier this year.

Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, the conference will take place at the Great Yorkshire Events Centre on January 27.

More than 700 farmers and industry professionals attended the first event, which featured leading speakers and a sold-out trade show supported by more than 60 businesses.

David Tite, manager of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, said: "We received some fantastic feedback on this year’s event, which really seemed to strike a chord with attendees, so we want to build on that with a second event.

"We are already hard at work lining up speakers, and I am delighted some of them were able to join us for the launch of the 2027 Conference."

The 2027 launch was supported by farming advocates Tom Carlisle and Rebecca Wilson, who will lead a session on social media.

Clare Wise from the NFU will also serve as one of the session chairs.

Mr Carlisle, a fifth-generation sheep and beef farmer from the Yorkshire Dales, said: "I’m very excited to be involved in this year's Yorkshire Farming Conference.

"After the success of last year’s event, it’s a pleasure to be involved once again to share my knowledge and insights into the industry, as well as learning from others."

Ms Wilson, a farmer, podcaster, and agricultural advocate, said: "More than ever, connection, communication and knowledge exchange are vital as we navigate the ever-changing world of agriculture.

"The Yorkshire Farming Conference brings all of that together, and I’m excited to be part of it in 2027."

The conference showcases the Yorkshire Agricultural Society’s networks, including the Future Farmers of Yorkshire, the Farmer Scientist Network, and the Yorkshire Rural Support Network.

Tickets go on sale from Monday, October 19, at yorkshirefarmingconference.co.uk.
