A former West Yorkshire police officer has been charged with possessing indecent images of children.
Zachary Haile, 27, who served with West Yorkshire Police in the Leeds District, faces three counts of possessing indecent photographs of children and one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
The alleged offences took place while he was off duty in 2022.
Haile is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 20.
West Yorkshire Police announced the charges on Tuesday.
Further details are expected to be heard during the court proceedings.
