Emmerdale viewers finally discovered what happened to Baby Tate during Monday night's episode, as it was revealed the infant is safe and being cared for in a secluded cottage.
The baby was seen in the arms of Graham Foster, with Kim Tate arriving at the hideout carrying supplies, confirming she had been secretly involved in keeping the child hidden.
The revelation marks a major turning point in the storyline, which has left fans questioning the child's whereabouts in recent weeks.
Kim and Graham defy Joe's wishes
The discovery also confirms that Graham went against Joe's instructions to place the baby up for adoption.
Instead, he and Kim appear to have worked together behind the scenes to ensure the child remained safe while keeping his location hidden.
However, the secret is not expected to stay hidden for long, with questions now mounting over how Joe will react when he learns what has happened.
Emotional scenes close the episode
Monday's episode ended on an emotional note, featuring a letter from Vinny to Nicola.
In the letter, Vinny apologised for the tragic accident that led to the death of Nicola's husband, Jimmy King.
The narration played out as Kim arrived at the cottage to visit Graham and Baby Tate, bringing several major storylines together in the closing moments of the episode.
Can Kim redeem herself?
The existence of the baby could provide Kim with an opportunity to make amends for past mistakes.
Future episodes are expected to explore whether she can reunite Joe with his son while keeping the child safe.
However, she faces significant obstacles, with Joe continuing to struggle with grief following Dawn's death and Thea remaining determined to seek revenge against Kim.
Producer teases more drama ahead
Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper said Kim was devastated by Joe's decision to give up the baby.
She explained: "While it initially appeared that Graham and Kim had resigned themselves to the plan, they have secretly intervened to ensure the baby remains safe and hidden away.
"Desperate for Joe not to come to regret his decision, Kim's determined to find a way to reunite father and son."
Roper added that viewers will soon discover whether Kim and Graham can continue protecting their secret as pressure mounts from all sides.
With Baby Tate's whereabouts finally revealed, fans can now expect fresh drama as the truth edges closer to coming out.
