A takeaway has been put up for sale just a year after it first opened.
Simply Masala in Shelf is on the market with Ernest Wilson for £21,950.
The hot food takeaway, on Carr House Road, was launched by father Khurshid Ahmed and his twin sons, Irfan and Kamran, in October 2025.
It served Shelf and nearby areas including Halifax, Queensbury, Northowram, Brighouse, Wibsey and Buttershaw.
The family’s plans included delivering curries to customers and building a larger takeaway operation.

Weekly turnover around £3,000
Its listing says the premises occupy a prominent position on a busy main road in Shelf, with passing traffic and a local customer base.
Weekly turnover is stated as between £2,500 and £3,000.
The takeaway currently trades six days a week, with the agents saying there is scope to increase income through longer opening hours, a wider menu or other services.
On the website, the advert reads: "An opportunity to acquire this superb trading site occupying a prominent position on a busy main road within the densely populated village of Shelf, on the outskirts of Halifax."
The agents said the property had recently been refurbished, including new plastering, plumbing and toilet facilities.
It includes a sales shop, preparation area, commercial kitchen and toilet with a wash hand basin.
The listing says the premises are held on a secure lease and have rental terms suitable for the business.
It describes the site as ready for occupation without the need for further major spending.

What the previous owners said
When Simply Masala opened, Khurshid was reported to have 40 years’ experience as a chef, including work at restaurants such as Omars in Bradford.
The menu included traditional curries, chef specials, Balti dishes and biryanis.
The family also planned to offer delivery across the surrounding communities.
The T&A spoke to the family at the time.
Irfan said: "We have always watched our dad do it and had an interest in it.
"I have got a twin brother as well. We have always had this dream of running our own place."
He said the brothers were handling the front of house and promotion, while their father brought his experience and recipes.
Irfan said: "Me and my brother are young, and we are good at social media.
"He has created a TikTok page for us which has already got thousands of views. Our Facebook page has also been going well too.
"We are the young generation at the front of house, and my dad is from the old school as a chef. He has got the recipes.
"Together we are going to make a good team."
In December 2025, a food hygiene inspection awarded the business a 2 out of 5 rating and urged "Improvement necessary".
Improvement was deemed necessary in the hygienic food handling while cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety were found to be generally satisfactory.
